Q. What kind of computer do I need to run this software?

A. Our software will run in a Microsoft environment on a Windows 2003/2008 Server, a local area network running Windows XP, a standalone XP computer and even a laptop computer. The amount of data you have will determine the size of the hardware. In all cases, we recommend a minimum of 1GB memory for workstations.

Q. Do I need to buy touch screen monitors?

A. No. The software works very well with keyboard and mouse. Touch screen capability is to improve the efficiency of your sales staff.

Q. Must I switch to Quick Books Accounting Software?

A. No.  The advantage to using Quick Books is the seamless integration that we have developed to make it easy to use.  We can also integrate with Peach Tree, but it requires additional steps.  We have the ability to integrate with any accounting package.


Q. I run bucket trucks. Can I integrate these in the system?

A. Yes. The software is modular and with some changes each truck could use a PDA device, tablet PC and/or laptop to operate a wireless network and print an invoice on each truck. Depending on your needs, information can be transferred between the truck and main computer.

Q. Can I set a minimum sales price?

A. Yes. You can automatically set up to 5 price levels with pre- determined profit margins, based on the customer. Prices can be overridden by the salesperson.

Q. I may get several orders from the same customer on the same day. Can I consolidate these into a single invoice.

A. Yes. Although you may generate several orders during the day, the software will identify these and produce a single invoice for your customer. Delivery charges and the optional Fuel Surcharge are available when the invoice is created.

Q. Does the software integrate my supplies business?

A. Yes. All product information can be made available, allowing sales staff to handle requests for any mixture of product categories. One salesperson can create a pick ticket for Fresh Cut Flowers, Fresh Cut Foliage, Greenhouse and/or supplies or they can be generated from each area. The pick ticket prints items sold by category and the pick tickets can be consolidated when invoiced.

Q. Is this product strictly "off the shelf" or can it be modified to suit my particular business practices?

A. The software was developed after an extensive survey of wholesale florists. As designed, it will solve the inventory and accounting issues common to the industry. We recognize that a "one size fits all" philosophy cannot accommodate all practices and we will customize as required. Our design methodology allows us to make some changes without additional charges.
